Prema Coin Deposit Systems 405, 605, and Versomat

The PREMA 405, 605, and Versomat are self-service coin deposit systems. These devices are developed and manufactured by PREMA GmbH, a Swiss family-owned company founded in 1976. They are used for the automated counting, authentication, and sorting of coin volumes.

Technological features

The systems are based on a specific verification and sorting technology designed for processing high volumes.

• Verification Method: For identification and counterfeit detection, the sensors use two independent parameters: the metallic alloy and the coin’s diameter. Foreign coins or unrecognized objects are automatically rejected during the process.

• Horizontal Transport: Sorting is performed via a mechanical horizontal transport system. This design is considered particularly low-maintenance and reliable compared to vertical gravity-feed sorters.

The series differ primarily in their functionality and capacity:

• Prema 405 FD CN DC1: Coin depositor, sorting with counterfeit detection (FD) with DOS operating system (DC1).
• Prema 405 FD CN DC2: Coin depositor, sorting with counterfeit detection (FD) with Windows operating system (DC2).
• Prema 605 FD CN DC2: Coin depositor, sorting with counterfeit detection (FD) with Windows operating system (DC2), successor to the Prema 405 FD CN DC2
• Prema Versomat Coin: Newest model, sorting with counterfeit detection and Windows operating system
